Our Client, a leading financial institution in Zurich, seeks an Investment Accountant – Securities Specialist.

In this role you will be responsible for various tasks in securities accounting including assisting with the preparation and implementation of closing activities; plausibility checks and controls, analysis and reconciliations. You will also advise custody clients in accounting matters, and be the liaison for the external auditors. Furthermore, you will assist in projects relating to Investment Accounting, and be responsible for additional ad-hoc analyses.

Your qualifications/skills for this role are:

• At least 3 years accounting experience in the financial industry

• Solid knowledge of investment accounting
• Knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER and IFRS / IAS
• Proficient user of MS Office
• Good knowledge of SAP R/3 would be an asset

• Higher degree (Uni, FH) in accounting / finance or banking apprenticeship with further education

• Customer-oriented with solid analytical skills and a quick, results-oriented approach
• Able to work independently and good team player

• Fluency in German
• Very good English
• French would be an asset
