IT Controller
Our client, a large financial institution in the Zürich area, seeks an
IT Controller.
In this role you will implement and improve processes and tools in order to attain sustainable control in IT. The goal is to eliminate unanticipated financial risks, disconnects and exposure related to the systems. Continuous improvement will be in general IT control and operational risk environments, including those managed by the local teams, other corporate business teams, and third parties.
The tasks include:
- Facilitate all periodical control cycles
- Develop policies and procedures, coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing them with necessary information
- Ensure IT SOX certification
- Design reviews, raising awareness and measuring compliance to policies
- Manage implementation of improvement plans
- Assist in the design and review of IT management control reports, acting upon findings where required
- Support IT control improvement initiatives that address controls maturity and the alignment of controls with legal and regulatory directives
Experience
- At least 5 years IT experience with a business focus
- Broad-based understanding of business processes & supporting systems in a financial services organization.
- In-depth understanding of IT Governance framework and risks.
- Experience of ISACA COBIT control objectives
- Experience of designing and implementing control improvements in an IT environment, particularly aimed at enhancing control maturity.
Expertise
- CISA and / or CISP qualified
- Strong knowledge of core IT processes e.g. SDLC, ITIL, or other relevant industry standard.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and data integrity obligations and risk management.

- Strong presentation & persuasion skills
- Ability to operate independently & achieve results through people without direct line of authority

- German and English language proficiency
