Private Fund of Hedge Funds seeks senior analyst for a portfolio of Renewable Energy, Water, Emissions, Forestry, CleanTech hedge funds. .

The Firm:

Our client is a successful asset management firm based in Zurich with $ 150m under management. They are managing one multi-strategy market neutral as well as a series of dedicated Asset Finance FoHFs. In total, they are invested in over 35 hedge funds across all strategies and geographies. They have a team of 10 people including 5 analysts. Due to a new environmental fund of Hedge fund product launch, they are seeking an experienced Research Analyst in this sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sourcing of environmental investment opportunities
• Perform quantitative and qualitative due diligence on hedge funds
• Participating in on and off site manager visits
• Document analysis of managers
• Monitoring and reviewing existing portfolio investments and recommending whether to add, hold or redeem
• Presenting environmental funds to other investment committee members
• Presenting the fund to existing and potential investors

Background and Requirements:

• The individual will have at least 3 years experience of analyzing hedge funds
• Knowledge of one or more sector of the following sectors: Renewable Energy, Water, Emissions, Forestry, CleanTech. M&A or private equity experience could be useful
• Has an independent and challenging mind, a focus on detail and is capable of forming reasonable conclusions.
• CFA, CAIA or MBA would be an advantage
• An intellectually curious individual with a creative approach to problem solving
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good report writing skills
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• A focus on detail and capability to form reasonable conclusions
• A sound knowledge of financial concepts
• Sophisticated computer skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
• English is required and German would be a distinct advantage

Compensation: Commensurate with market and relevant experience.
